The more a transporter knows, the faster and more accurate the quote. Have these details ready, and you can usually get a clear answer in one message.
The checklist
- Pickup address: the town or suburb is enough to start, and the full address when you book.
- Delivery address: the same.
- What you are moving: pallets, boxes, furniture, equipment, or a mix.
- Roughly how heavy it is. An estimate is fine.
- How it is packed: on pallets, wrapped, boxed or loose.
- The date you need it collected and delivered.
- Access at both ends: stairs, narrow gates, loading docks, forklifts and parking.
- A contact name and number at both addresses.
Photos help
One or two photos of the load, or of the largest items, tell us more than any description. Send them on WhatsApp together with the checklist.
For long-distance trips
If your load is going to another province, add your deadline and say whether someone will be at the delivery address to receive it. A long trip needs a clear plan for the handover.
Ask for a quote early. The sooner you book, the more options you have for the date.
